When you register or sign in using your Google account, read.haus collects the following information:

We obtain your explicit consent during the OAuth consent process.

How We Use Google User Data

We strictly use your Google User Data only for these specific purposes:

• User authentication and account management: We use your email address and name to identify you and authenticate your access.
• Social features: Your Google contact list is used exclusively to: (i) display your contacts who already use read.haus (ii) Notify you when one of your contacts joins read.haus (iii) Allow your contacts to see that you are using read.haus.

We do not use Google User Data for advertising, marketing, or any purposes other than those clearly stated above.

Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage and Deletion of User Data

We securely store your user data using industry-standard security practices. Your data remains stored only as long as your account is active.

If you delete your account, we will permanently delete all your user data—including your email, name, and contact list—from our servers within 30 days. Additionally, if you delete one of your book lists, we permanently delete all associated data and will not retain any information from deleted bookshelves.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your user data with third parties, except with your explicit consent, or to comply with applicable laws and regulations, or for security purposes (such as investigating abuse). We do not allow any human to read your data unless explicitly consented to by you or required for security purposes or legal compliance. We never use or transfer your Google User Data to serve advertisements. We use your data solely to provide and improve user-facing features explicitly described in this policy.

Your Rights to Access, Update, or Delete Your Data

You have the right at any time to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
